After a dedicated 5-week effort, we're thrilled to announce that the assembly of GEN 3 devices is well underway. For those who've been patiently waiting, your long-anticipated MiniBrew experience is on the horizon, complete with improved technical support and a streamlined repair and return process.

In our September 2023 update, we projected assembly to commence by the end of October or early November. We've made significant strides to address your concerns about delivery timelines, urging our manufacturing team to kickstart assembly as scheduled. Despite a new location and workforce, the assembly process aligns seamlessly with both factory and MiniBrew standards. We're super excited to show you the assembly line of GEN 3.

October marked a crucial milestone as our sourcing manager, Steven, and CEO, Bart, concluded the colour settings for GEN 3. With the next build, slated for the Pilot phase in December, we're in a unique position to implement final tweaks and improvements before mass production kicks off. As mentioned in previous updates, we're exploring texture possibilities to enhance the overall user experience.

Ensuring the functionality of each GEN 3 device is our top priority during the production phase. To achieve this, we've implemented a comprehensive testing process that assesses the machine's core functions, firmware integrity, cloud connection, and readiness for shipment. To facilitate this testing, we've developed a dedicated app that meticulously evaluates every aspect of the device.

Beyond the assembly phase, our commitment to quality extends to a series of 53 functional acceptance tests. Unlike the assembly check, we perform these tests in each build by actually brewing beer with the machine. This hands-on approach is essential to guarantee that the beer produced meets professional standards. Conducting these rigorous tests not only ensures the functionality of each unit but also provides a double-check mechanism, significantly minimising return rates and securing your MiniBrew experience. The whole process takes about 4-5 days and is executed by Rolf.

GEN 3 Planning Update
In alignment with our commitment to delivering an enhanced GEN 3 based on customer feedback and innovative cooling technology, the factory successfully built a small series of 50 devices in November. This achievement translates to fulfilling the first pre-orders by the end of the year. As outlined in our September 2023 update, the pilot phase is scheduled for December, during which an additional 50 units will be meticulously crafted. The final batch is anticipated to roll out in January 2024, completing our meticulous production process.

Other new things to share
- In October, we solidified an agreement with Bol.com for the Dutch market. This partnership will allow us to offer brewpacks and, later on, GEN 3 devices through their platform. Notably, customers will benefit from reduced shipping costs.
- Additionally, we've revamped our support system, introducing a "chat live with us" feature on our website during business hours. Further improvements are in the pipeline, including the integration of technical support into our overall user experience
- To enhance buyer protection, we've partnered with Trustedshops, an organisation offering comprehensive buyer protection for end-customers. Minibrew has undergone audits, and we've made adjustments across our platforms to align with updated legal requirements related to delivery and return transparency.
